DECEMBER 2022-JANUARY 2023, RACHEL FROM THE ISLE OF WIGHT

Yet another brilliant stay at Cowclose Barn, my 5th I believe.  A beautiful location and wonderful hosts.  The weather was not in our favour but we still got out and enjoyed the area.  Thank you!

OCTOBER 2022, KATE, WILL, ISABELLA AND JAMES (NANNA AND GRANDAD NEXT DOOR) FROM NORTHUMBERLAND AND ROTHERHAM

We booked both cottages for 5 days for a family holiday.  Cottages were both very clean and tidy and had everything we needed as a family on holiday.  Lovely location, not far to travel for anything.  Lots of information packs around the cottage.  Very comfortable stay, Thank You.

AUGUST 2022, MARTIN FAMILY FROM CUMBRIA

What a wonderful cottage. The welcome basket was a lovely touch.  We enjoyed the homemade cake and especially the wine after our 5 hour drive.

The children lovely playing in the garden and our youngest was fascinated by the cows at the gate.  This is a perfect place for exploring the local area (Peak District).

OCTOBER 2021, KEV, CHARLOTTE, HARRY (7), GEORGE (5), FREDDIE (30) FROM BATH

We’ve had a wonderful week, almost entirely dry and warm. Thank you for a super welcome Barbara. We’ve walked up Stanage Edge and Mam Tor. We cycled the Monsal Trail, enjoyed visits to Chatsworth, Bakewell, Linacre Reservoirs and the Heights of Abraham. Thanks for a great week.

SEPTEMBER 2021, DAWN AND MARTIN FROM BATH

A perfect spot with some great walks directly from the front door. A lovely cottage that worked well for us to drop our son at Sheffield Uni and allow us the opportunity to explore the wonderful Peaks.
Suspect over the next 3 years we will be coming here quite a bit.

SEPTEMBER 2021, PHILIP FROM ESSEX

Been coming here every year for the last 11 years and stayed in both The Swallows and The Robins. A real home from home and Barbara and Allan make me feel so welcome . There are always new things to go and see. Bakewell, Castleton, Chatsworth, Matlock Bath, Padley Gorge, Monsal Head, Chesterfield, Snake Pass, Hassop, Baslow Edge, to name but a few.
Will be back next year.

AUGUST 2021, DEBBIE STEVE, WENDY, MOLLY AND MABEL, THE COCKAPOO

Allan and Barbara welcomed us on arrival. Lovely tarts and wine.
Had a lovely relaxing weekend, lovely clean accommodation and everything we needed. Barbara is on hand if needed with plenty of recommendations. Would highly recommend The Peacock at Barlow – great food and ambiance.

JANUARY 2023, TATE

Lovely spot.  Myself and the dog (Boston) loved it.  Footpath at back was perfect for morning walks and reservoirs great for evenings. Just lovely.

DECEMBER 2022, JASON AND BETH FROM LONDON

We had a lovely cosy stay over Christmas at The Robins with our little dog.  We had every kitchen utensil we could ever need to whip up a homely Christmas dinner. The place was spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated. All info we needed was clearly provided. Thank you for making our stay a happy one.

OCTOBER 2022, ALAN AND JANICE FROM PETERBOROUGH

A delightful cottage, clean and well-attractive. Hosts friendly and helpful.  Location ideal. Would recommend to others for walking holiday

AUGUST 2022, MARTIN FAMILY FROM CUMBRIA

What a wonderful cottage! The welcome basket was a lovely touch, including the homemade cakes.  After a 5 hour drive to get here the wine was particularly welcome! The children loved playing in the garden and our youngest was fascinated by the cows at the gate.

This is a perfect place for exploring the local area (Peak District)
